Experience the rich history and spiritual significance of some of the Cordesville Area Sacred Grounds. Tour the Mepkin Abbey Monastery Church, the new Mepkin Meditation Garden of Truth and Reconciliation, the Laurens and Luce Family Cemetery and Garden. Hear about the history and preservation of the Taveau Church and the eighteenth century Strawberry Chapel.
At Mepkin Abbey, you will get to meet The Superior, Father Joseph Tedesco and Robert R. Macdonald, Author of "Between the Marsh and the Skies: The Mepkin Abbey Story" which chronicles "Mepkin Abbey's Monastic journey since its founding in 1949.' This in-person event is a walking and driving tour, and it will immerse you in the stories and traditions of these special religious and sacred grounds situated in Berkeley County.
